It happened... Carolyn got sick :-( For one whole week she pretty much refused to eat and laid on my chest moaning. Nothing could have prepared me for it. I mean it - the pain of child birth has nothing on the first time your sweet baby gets sick. I was completely helpless as if I had the flu or something horrible myself. As soon as she would finally fall asleep for a nap I would find myself sitting on the couch awaiting her cries. They were frequent.
But, we survived!! Tuesday I was privileged to the beautiful smiles of my baby girl once again. I had almost forgotten how much they warm my heart.

Adam and I have learned just how good we really had it with our little sleeper. Now the real fun begins with trying to get her back on something resembling a schedule. Thankfully her giggles keep us going!

Get ready for pictures of her many Christmas outfits. Most of them WAY to big but we are working with it. Last week at the doctor she weighed a whopping 11lbs 7oz. How she only gained 2oz in 1 month is beyond me.
She is just a cutie pie!! Love that sweet grin and giggle.
ReplyDeleteJust keep rocking her and holding her -- while you can -- it doesn't take long before they are too independent.
Love you,
Aunt Mary
The pain of when your baby is sick is one of those things you just can't describe to anyone who hasn't experienced it. I am so thankful that my precious granddaughter has such wonderful and loving parents. Papa
