Trip to Savannah

Last weekend Adam and I headed to Savannah. Friday night Adam got to "experience" his first ever Tybee Island Beach Bum parade. While this event was not documented with our camera because there is water everywhere I'm happy to report not many people will squirt water at an obviously pregnant woman. Mom, Dad, and Adam were quick to figure this out and spent most of the parade hiding behind me! Adam's only complaint is that we didn't come armed with squirt guns and tanks of water like most of the patrons. We'll work on that for next year.

After the parade we jumped in the car and raced to beat the crowds at the Crab Shack. You really can't go wrong with the sampler platter. We certainly got our seafood fix.

Saturday I had a baby shower while the guys went out on the boat. It was such a blast and I was completely overwhelmed with every ones generosity, particularly the hostesses Susan and Jennifer Burr.

Can you believe this diaper cake?!?! Thanks to Jenn and Craig for all the hard work. I don't know how I'll ever bring myself to stealing any diapers from it when Miss Carolyn arrives.

Right after this picture Courtney and Morgan stuck their fingers in my belly button to confirm I still have an innie. I sure didn't see it coming!

Posing with Mom and Aunt Lorraine.

Weird to think next time we're in Savannah Carolyn will be with us! We're packing up the belly one last time and heading to Hilton Head this weekend.

  1. What a wonderful shower you had and the cake looks "delicious" -- very sweet friends to do this!! You still look great - Adam looks like a "happy-to-be Daddy". Time is flying by -- Miss Carolyn will be making her entrance before too long. Have fun at Hilton Head. Great one of Bren, Lorraine and you.
