Special Day

Today has already been a wonderful day and it's only halfway over. I got the best two birthday presents in the whole world!

1 - A solid 6.5 hours of straight sleep from my sweet baby girl. At just 8 weeks old Carolyn slept 7 hours straight (thankfully I got to bed not long after she did!)
2 - An iPad. I actually got it a few weeks ago and it has changed my life. Thank you Adam and Mom & Dad! We'd talked about getting a laptop for a long time but I just never felt like it was portable enough for me to use regularly. The iPad is perfect!! I can play on the Internet while I'm nursing and I keep all my grocery and to-do list on it and just throw it in the diaper bag when we leave the house. Genius! Best of all when I'm watching TV at night Adam will sit with me and play Angry Birds (best game ever). So we're spending more time together! Special thanks to Judi for letting me play with hers while she was in town.

Can't wait for dinner tonight!

We've gotten into a good routine the last few days where Carolyn take two big naps (3+hours each) and is awake in between and before bedtime. It's so fun as she's really getting more interactive.

She's giving me the sweetest smile here.
Smile! I just got a remote for my camera so there will be no more setting the timer and running to get in place. Carolyn and I tried it out this morning so we'd be ready for a group shot when Adam gets home. Prepare yourself for lots of family photos!

In honor of my birthday Carolyn wore her new outfit today. We got this for her official photo shoot next week while we're in Savannah.

I wore my new shoes! Thank you TJMaxx for having shoes that nobody else wanted so that I could buy them on clearance. I can't say no to a pair of flats with any type of bow or flower. :-)
