Happy Easter

But when they looked up, they saw that the stone, which was very large, had been rolled away. As they entered the tomb, they saw a young man dressed in a white robe sitting on the right side, and they were alarmed.

“Don’t be alarmed,” he said. “You are looking for Jesus the Nazarene, who was crucified. He has risen!...
Mark 16:4-6

It's a beautiful day to celebrate our Lord and the resurrection.

The Easter Bunny visited our house last night! Little Miss was up at 6:30 full of excitement. This came as quite a surprise to us since she usually sleeps until 7:30 or 8:00. We've got a full day of fun planned so when she fell back asleep at 9:00 I sent Adam on to Sunday School and said we wouldn't be far behind. It wasn't long before I realised the car seat was in his car. After some frantic text and emails I decided our only hope of getting to church was to walk. So, I put my tennis shoes on with Easter best and we trekked the 1.8 miles. You can't imagine the looks we got but we made it and actually enjoyed ourselves along the way.

Here's a few pictures we took after lunch with my brother, Uncle Jef. I'll have more of our evening festivities in the next few days.

First Easter basket! Filled with bible songs, puffs, snack containers, and a toothbrush.

She's getting a little better at looking at the camera for group shots!
