Our Pets

Adam and I really have no desire or intentions to get a pet. I'm allergic to most animals and really averse to the work it takes to care for and train them. I'm not saying they are out of the question but for now we have no interest. So, I was thrilled the very first time we came to see this house and found it came with pets that are self maintaining. DEER! I have loved watching them, especially the playful TWINS that were born this spring. It has been a blast to watch them grown up and most recently loose their spots. This post was prompted by my recent sighting and just today pictures of a 6 pointer. Correct me if I'm wrong but I believe the number of antler points is how you refer to how large a deer is. Enjoy the pictures!

Today's 6 Pointer - It's gotten a lot harder to get pictures because it get's dark so early and they are really blending in with the leaves. I know all my cousins in Virginia who will likely be hunting tomorrow AM will have a fit when they see these. No boys, you can't come to visit. These are our maintenance free pets!

  1. Susan/Adam: The photos are gorgeous -- what a lovely site -- it will also be beautiful when it "snows" on the ground for them. Todd would like to find that "six-pointer" out in the woods!!

  2. We love seeing your deer! I'm glad we can still keep up with a deer family! Wonder if we could make Smidge a maintenance free pet if we gave him some antlers?
