That very same month my Mom came to visit for the Celine Dion concert and we took her to see this area we'd discovered called, Peachtree Corners in Norcross, GA. One house we drove by I knew was empty based on the pictures online. So, we took a peak in the windows and checking out the back porch. There were two things I really loved at first glance: 1 - It was on a cul-de-sac 2 - The master bedroom has hard wood floors. If you know me, you know that allergies are not my friend so hardwoods really is a practical solution.
At the time we were still just window shopping and the price was definitely too high. We enjoyed seeing what we liked though and working on our must-haves list. Because we wanted to but a house that we can grow into I wasn't willing to make many sacrifices.
Fast forward to late spring - We started looking more seriously and about that time they dropped the price of the dream house. After a look inside and a deer spotting I was sold. We patiently waited until our desired closing date in June got closer, had a long weekend of negotiations, and got the house! For an exceptional price!! The planning started immediately - so many rooms, walls, bathrooms, it's a decorator at heart's heaven.

Dear Susan: Love the photos of yr home -- where does the name "Folly Place" come from? Someone told me years ago to always name your home -- I've loved that!!! Texas Hollow Road was "Kenmar Place" - haven't named mine since -- maybe I'll get creative and think of something for this one or my next home.

Hi Aunt Mary! Thank you for all your sweet comments. Folly Place is actually the name of the street we live on. We referred to many of the houses we looked at by their street name when we were shopping.
