Nursery Update

Weekend before last Adam and I went to order Carolyn's furniture fully expecting it to not be ready for 10-12 week. Well, surprise - they had it in stock and were ready to deliver! The only problem was, I wasn't ready!! So after Kristen's shower I spent all afternoon taping stripes. My legs were SO sore from up and down off the ground setting the laser level (genius invention) I don't know how I got out of bed on Sunday. The thought of waiting another week for her furniture knowing it was in a warehouse down the street was just unacceptable though. So, I painted all day Sunday...
Before
With lots of tape

And then paint!!!
Furniture!! Standing by the windows looking toward the closet door.
Standing by the other window/crib looking toward the hallway door where I took before/tape/paint pictures from.

Next up... shopping for curtain rods so that I can get started on the drapes. These things make me so happy. :-) I'm in a bit of denial about the 22 weeks/5 months photo so we'll just hold off on that for a few days. I keep trying to convince Adam there is some optical illusion in the picture but haven't had a chance to take another and compare. I guess it's good that I am more pregnant than I feel. I'd hate for it to be the other way around!

  1. The nursery looks wonderful. You did a good job on the stripes. I think you are smart to do it now. In a few weeks, you will wonder how you did it. No getting up and down for stripes then! Looking forward to seeing you. Love, Shirley
