Early Nesting

These last few weeks we have been about getting things done. If it's on the to-do list there's no time to waste. This is generally how I always go about life as I love to have a project or task to work on but I like to think we are just getting everything ready before Carolyn's arrival. That way there's no distractions from cuddling.

I got an assortment of tools for cake decorating from my Mom for Christmas. Other than icing some cupcakes I haven't put them to good use... until now. Our new double ovens were the perfect reason to bake and decorate a cake! For some reason the ovens that came with the house (circa 1983 - the year I was born) just couldn't keep their temperature.

Adam always complains that our bedroom is too bright. Now that I'm working from home full time and getting to sleep late rather than spend time in the car I couldn't agree more. What better time to get blackout curtains than now? Come July chances are we'll be up with the sun for the next few years.

And, the most nesting like purchase - a rocker for the family room. I have LOVED a set of swivel rockers that my Aunt Lorraine has and fully intended to order one of my own from La Z Boy soon. Two weeks ago we were out shopping and I saw this gem through the window of a local baby shop. Floor model for sale!! That saved me a few hundred dollars and 8 weeks of special order time. Excellent.
