Beach Baby

We went to the beach!! Typically every Memorial Day, 4th of July, and Labor Day we go to Hilton Head with my family and we LOVE it. Only for the birth of our daughter would we ever consider missing. My parents were actually already there for the 4th this year when we called with the news of our early arrival.
Adam couldn't wait to jump out of the car and show Carolyn the beach.

She wasn't so sure about having her toes dipped in the sand.

As it turns out, she loved the beach! She only joined us for one afternoon. Thankfully the video monitor works like a charm when you have a newborn.

We had a most excellent set-up.

At the end of the day we took a dip in the pool. I was really hoping Carolyn would wake up so I could dip her in but there was no chance. Like her mother, she takes her nap time very seriously. Have I mentioned she sleeps through the night? When I told the doctor this last week she said, "what do you consider sleeping through the night?" She was very surprised by my answer of "10 hours - She goes to bed at 10 and I WAKE HER UP at 8!"

Let's not forget the excellent waves thanks to the hurricane that passed by. Here's Adam and my Dad (Grandpa) catching a wave on their boogie boards.
Grandpa liked to end a good ride by wiping out. :-)
I'm back to work this week - whoa! I'll do my best to keep up with the frequent blogging but it's definitely going to be a struggle with wearing so many hats (Mother, Wife, Worker Bee, Housekeeper, Chef, Personal Shooper, etc!

  3. She is just adorable!!! And I'm so jealous that she sleeps 10 hours!!!! You need to have another baby just so you know that's not normal at 2 months ;)
