We managed to squeeze a little fun into this work week.
Here's Carolyn, our lovely centerpiece, wishing she could have a bite of Daddy's spaghetti.

Carolyn's Great Aunt Peggy (Poppy) was in town for a short trip and we got to visit with her and cousin Phil. Poppy couldn't believe Carolyn would stick her tongue out at her.

Carolyn can hold a rattle, with assistance. Sometime I put it in her hand and she holds it for 30 minutes completely unaware that it's there. Other times she is quit interested and will try licking it or shaking it. She licks everything now. No one is safe.
"What is this thing?"
"Look, Mom. It's a rattle!"
Rattles are fun!

Kristen and Sydney came to visit! Carolyn at 12 weeks and Sydney 5 months.
Sydney says, "Where does she think she's going?"

"Come here...

... let's hug!"

Carolyn wasn't intimidated by the idea but Kristen was quick to her rescue. Before we know it Carolyn will be joining Sydney in rolling over and we'll need a bigger blanket!
Those are so cute, Susan. Carolyn has the same hairline as Mac had - but now his hair is longer - it was a peak in the front. She is so precious with the rattle. Everyday will be an adventure.
ReplyDeleteLove you,
Aunt Mary
Carolyn is really taking in her surroundings now. Can't believe those big eyes! She's a doll. I bet Peggy enjoyed playing with her.
ReplyDeleteLove, Shirley
Susan you're so funny - I love that you called your daughter a centerpiece. She's so cute!
